Do I have to publish my form and publication together?
A new form and the prescribing publication must be published and distributed simultaneously. This is not the case for revised forms.
Do I need to obtain coordination when rescinding a publication?
Yes, OPRs planning to rescind a publication must complete technical/ functional coordination in addition to obtaining certification and approval using the AF Form 673.

OPRs should access the Air Force Information Management Publishing Tool (AFIMPT) system to modify the product as a rescind action. Please send an email request with your official Appointment letter signed by your commander to the AFIMPT workflow at SAF.AA.AFDPO.AFIMPT@us.af.mil.
Do office forms that require Privacy Act Information have to be prescribed in a publication?
If a form at any level collects Privacy Act information it must be prescribed in an official publication and managed in accordance with Privacy Act guidance (see AFI 33-332).
Does the prescribing publication for a form have to be revised if there are revisions to the form?
The prescribing publication does not need to be revised when a form is revised unless instructions related to the revised form need to be updated.
How can I locate a product on the website?
The opening page of the e-Publishing Library is the Master Catalog for all products based on organizations and then by series or form range. You may also search for publications by organization, subject or product type by using the Advance Search.

From the homepage, enter your "product number" in the "Search products" box at the top right-hand corner of the page (do not add spaces, i.e., AFI33-360 or AF673), then click on the word "Find it".

If you do not know the Product number for a product but know the Product name or a section of it you may enter it in the "Search products" box and click on "Find it". This will provide a list of products with the keywords you entered under "Product Index". Also, you may search by using the Advanced Search function. Advance search will search the content of the products and return all of the products related to your search criteria. (Note: This search will not give you a list of product numbers; rather it provides content with a link to the product).

Another search option is to search using the Product Index by clicking on the appropriate tab and sorting through the list of results for Departmental, MAJCOM, Base, Wing/Unit, DRU, or FOA level.
How can I locate Air Force Technical Order (AFTO) Forms on the website?

Electronic DD, OF, and SF forms are available from the DoD Website (http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/forms/index.htm). The AF e-Publishing website lists only a few DD and SF Forms that the AF prints/ships.  These forms are located in the Product Index area;  click on the "Forms" tab then the "Special Series" sub-tab, the "DD Forms" and "Standard Forms" options should now be visible on the Product Index.
Also, links to other forms and publications repositories can be found by going to the "Items of interest" list on the right-hand side of the website and clicking on the "Forms, Publications, and Other Publishing Sites" link.
How do I create a new publication or form?
Please see the AFI33-360 for guidance developing your initial draft document. General questions about the process including mandatory coordination and publication number assignments, and Departmental-level inquiries should be addressed to the usaf.pentagon.saf-aa.mbx.afdpo-ppp@mail.mil workflow for assistance. You will also need to request access to the AFIMPT system, there are templates imbedded within the system.

If I am routing a publication for coordination can I use my email to route the package to request coordination?
Yes e-mail can be used to obtain coordination. AFI33-360 states:

OPRs are permitted to collect coordination for publications/forms using email, approved systems, or SSS in lieu of the AF Form 673. The staffing package does not have to include the AF Form 673. However, the endorsements received back from the staffing package (on email, approved system, SSS, multiple AF Forms 673) for technical/functional and mandatory coordination must be transcribed to a master AF Form 673 prior to certification and approval. Note: Original documents containing the endorsement become part of the publications record set; see Chapter 10 for further guidance on Records Management. The transcribed endorsement will not include the digital or wet signature.
Is there a publication that provides recent information on new, revised, or obsolete publications and forms?
The Product Announcement (PA) is a bi-weekly publication that provides information on publication/forms actions processed during that 2 week time-frame.  The PA is located on the  e-publishing website.  The PAs are archived for 1 calendar year.

Why am I having problems locating certain products using the Product number search function?
The Product number search function will only work properly if you enter the EXACT (no spacing) product number of the item you need or a portion of the EXACT product number. You may find that a broad search is the most successful way to locate products.
For example:
To locate AFPAM36-2241, you must enter the Product number into the search field as shown. If you enter AFPAM 36-2241, AF36-2241 or AFPAM362241, the Product number search will not find a match.

If you are not sure of the exact Product number, enter only a portion of the Product number. If you enter 36-2241, the search will return every Air Force publication with such numbers, whether it is an AFMAN, an AFI, or AFSSM. If you enter only 2241, you further broaden your search. The same principle applies to prefixes such as AFPAM, the results will display every Air Force Pamphlet.

When searching for an electronic form, do not enter the work "Form" or "electronic form", or "IMT" as part of your search criteria. For example, enter AF988 not AF Form 988 in the Product number search box.
Why is my AFIMPT package taking so long to be published?
Per the AFI33-360, AFDPO has 20 days to process product packages. If your product is past 20 days, you may contact thePPP workflow for a status update.
